Job Description

Job Core Responsibilities

  • Manage and direct the work of the HSE team with the QHSE Manager
  • Monitoring and tracking of Mongolian safety regulatory compliance.
  • Lead on the development, planning and improvement of  JHA’S ( Job Hazard Analysis) and SWP’S (Safe Work Procedures), work instructions
  • Assist in maintaining the company’s ISO accreditations and integrated business management system
  • Manage and collaborate and provide safety advice and support to all the onsite business units and individuals
  • Constantly look for opportunities to improve the Health & Safety – Food Safety and Environment policies, practices and procedures
  • Develop an excellent understanding of the requirements for ISO 9001:2015  - 14001:2015  - ISO 22000 and work towards 18001
  • Mentor the HSE officers and others in the development of health, safety and environmental awareness
  • Liaise with statutory authorities and suppliers on Health Safety and environmental matters
  • Communicate directly with the Client HSE and other relevant department
  • Lead on new innovative safety improvement programs designed to increase management involvement in safety
  • Review and advise on the HSE Training for all departments
  • Update the Monthly Activity Summary and Weekly Client Reports
  • Perform HSE Audits and Food Safety Audits – mentoring staff
  • Development of new Safety Initiatives to improve safe working practices
  • Daily Safety Walks with staff and Supervisors
  • Daily Client Communications
  • Daily Technical and Advisory assistance on HSE and Food Safety
  • Trend Analysis of incidents
  • Investigation Reporting of Incident Management
  • Supporting the Food Safety Manager to manage the HACCP process including the HACCP plan
  • Monitoring and tracking of Mongolian safety regulatory compliance.
  • Liaise with statutory authorities and suppliers on Health Safety and environmental matters
  • Communicate directly with the Client HSE and other relevant departments such as SOS 
  • Development of inspection and audit plans – including emergency drill
  • Legal Compliance tracking
  • HSE Bi weekly meetings
  • HSE staff recruitment -interviews

 

Qualification/certificates

 

NEBOSH Certificate / Diploma or equivalent

2/ 4 Year degree  in Health and Safety

Auditor qualification (i.e. ISO 9001, ISO14001, OHSAS18001 qualification) would be an advantage

  • Excellent computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and web-browsers
  • Experience of writing and developing risk assessments and Standard Work Procedures to a high standard
  • Experience of auditing and hazard observations in all QHSE related activities in a Services environment
  • Experience of performing post-incident investigations
  • Experience of leading and participating in job risk analysis and continual improvement.
